Pannuru Sripathy

Pannuru Sripathy is a traditional painter associated with Tanjore-style devotional art and has trained large numbers of younger artists. His practice combines classical iconography, careful drawing and decorative gold work. Through demonstrations and cultural programmes in India and abroad, he helped extend awareness of South Indian traditional painting beyond its regional setting.
