This policy outlines the guidelines, rights, and responsibilities for all sellers on the platform, including independent artisans, designer brands, and craft collectives. By registering as a seller, you agree to comply with these terms to ensure a fair, ethical, and seamless experience for all stakeholders.
Eligibility & Account Registration
Who Can Sell? Independent artisans, craftsmen, and designers creating authentic handcrafted products. Verified artisanal brands committed to heritage and quality. Collectives, NGOs, and cooperatives representing traditional craft communities. Registration & Verification All sellers must create an account and complete the verification process. Required documents include identity proof, business registration (if applicable), bank details, and proof of craftsmanship authenticity. Only approved sellers can list products and start selling.
Product Listings & Authenticity
Product Guidelines Listings must include high-quality images, detailed descriptions, and accurate pricing. All products must be handcrafted or artisanal, aligning with platform values. Sellers must not list counterfeit, mass-produced, or factory-made goods. Authenticity & Compliance Sellers must ensure product authenticity through certifications (if applicable). False claims, misleading descriptions, or fake items will lead to immediate delisting and account suspension.
Order Management & Shipping
Processing & Dispatch Sellers must process orders within the committed timeframe and ensure timely dispatch. Proper packaging must be used to prevent product damage during transit. Tracking information must be updated once the order is shipped. Shipping & Logistics Sellers can use the platform’s preferred shipping partners or arrange their own shipping. Any delays or issues must be communicated to customers proactively.
Payments & Commission Structure
Payment Process Payments are processed securely and transferred to the seller’s registered account. Payouts are made after the successful completion of an order and following any return periods. Commission & Fees The platform deducts a predefined commission from each sale. Any transaction fees (bank/processing charges) may apply. Refunds & Chargebacks Refunds initiated by buyers due to damage, misrepresentation, or defects will be deducted from the seller’s account. Repeated chargebacks may result in penalties or account suspension.
Code of Conduct & Compliance
Fair Trade & Ethical Selling Sellers must follow fair trade practices and maintain ethical sourcing. No child labor, exploitative practices, or unethical business operations are permitted. Customer Communication All communications with buyers must be professional, transparent, and respectful. Misleading information, harassment, or fraudulent activities will result in penalties.
Intellectual Property & Ownership Rights
Protection of Artisan Work Sellers retain full rights to their original designs and creations. Unauthorized copying of designs within the platform will be subject to removal and legal action. Trademarks & Copyrights Sellers using logos, trademarks, or brand names must ensure they have the legal rights to do so. Any intellectual property violations will lead to product removal and potential legal consequences.
Returns, Refunds & Cancellations
Return & Refund Policy Products eligible for return must be clearly stated in the listing. Refunds will be processed only for damaged, defective, or incorrect items. Custom-made and personalized items may not be eligible for returns unless damaged. Cancellations Sellers must notify the platform immediately if they cannot fulfill an order. Frequent order cancellations may result in penalties or lower seller rankings.
Account Suspension & Termination
Reasons for Suspension Violation of platform policies, including selling prohibited items. Multiple customer complaints regarding authenticity, delays, or misrepresentation. Engaging in fraudulent activities, such as manipulating reviews or fake orders. Reinstatement of Accounts Suspended sellers may appeal by submitting relevant documentation. The platform reserves the right to reject reinstatement requests for serious violations.
Dispute Resolution
Handling Disputes In case of disputes between buyers and sellers, the platform provides mediation services. Sellers are required to respond to dispute claims within the specified resolution period. Escalation Process If mediation fails, disputes may be escalated for legal action under governing laws.
Legal Compliance & Governing Law
Sellers must comply with local and international trade laws, including taxation and business registration requirements. All legal disputes will be governed under Indian law and resolved in the jurisdiction where the platform is registered.
